Events

The Friday meetings are held in the church hall of the Torrisholme Methodist Church, Norwood Drive, Torrisholme LA4 6LT The meetings start at 7pm and finish at 9pm with a short interval for a drink of tea or coffee. See contacts for map link.

The programme is divided into two sessions in a year. The Autumn/Winter programme starts in September and ends with the AGM and Christmas Social at the beginning of December. The Winter/Spring programme begins in January and finishes at the end of March.

Mar 3rd - Workshop with Tracy Levine Subject - Landscape in mixed media. Venue - The old grammar school Bolton le sands. 10am to 4pm. Cost £12 Bookings in advance to Christina Gannon.
Mar 16th - Frances Winder - Demo - Exploring watercolour.
Mar 23rd - Club night
Mar 30th - Janette Phillips - Evening workshop - watercolour & inks - bring your own materials.
April 6 & 13th Easter break

April 27th - Duncan Ibbotson - Demo - Vibrant pastels.

The oil painting group takes place on Thursday afternoons from 2 pm to 4 pm and starts 26th January. The cost is £20 for the 6 weeks sessions. The venue is the Old Grammar School, Bolton le Sands. Martin Greenland is the visiting tutor and visits x 3 in 12 weeks. The format has changed in that he gives a group critique of each members' work & gives constructive advice, so the whole group benefits from his teaching. If you are interested in joining. The portrait group takes place on Thursday mormings from 10am - 12 noon and starts 26th January. The cost is £10 for the 6 weeks sessions. The venue is the Old Grammar School, Bolton le Sands. This group is untutored but the members of the group give guidance and support to one another. URGENT! If any members can help with sitters or would like information about these 2 groups, please contact Gil Shaw. There are vacancies in the Portrait group at present.
