The picture to the left shows a group of members at a sketching day in July 2011 at Heysham Church. Our view from the graveyard on this sunny and windy day was a panorama of sand and sea. The photograph on the right side was taken on a LADAS trip to the Manchester City Art Gallery & Lowry Centre winter 2012

The workshop on Saturday the 13th March was led by Francis Winder. Francis encouraged us all to experiment and use gesso, textured materials, tissue and paper with mixed media to add extra richness and texture to our paintings. We all worked hard and produced a gallery of varied and exciting works at the end of the day.
Demonstration in pastel on Sennelier paper by Donald Ibbotson at the LADAS meeting on the 19th Nov 2010. A chateau in France. He enjoys using vibrant colours and strong shapes to produce striking pictures.
